| The following poem was written in memory of Tina Marie McQuaig:
On March 15, 2000, Tina, age 27, was reported missing after failing to return home from work. Tina clocked out of work at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville Florida at 4:50 p.m. Four days later on March 19, 2000, Tina's car was found in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Jacksonville. Tina's husband and (then) five year old son, along with her parents, brother and numerous other relatives and friends, showed tremendous strength and determination as they desperately waited for any news. Nearly 3 years later, they at last know that Tina fell victim to a homicidal maniac. Tina's remains were found in a wooded area in Jacksonville Florida. To Mom And Dad I was looking down from Heaven, On that day there was no light, Your tears that flowed so freely, Shone brightly in my sight. The words I begged for you to hear, Could not break through your pain, I was trying to reassure you, That we'd be together once again. Although you cannot see me now, In the form that I once was, You must know that I'm happy here, Surrounded by God's Love. I pray these words will let you know, That Heaven truly exists, There are no earthly human words, Describing such wondrous bliss! God's arms are wrapped around me now, While I listen to Angels sing, There's not a moment that passes by, With my love to you I bring. My only wish is for you to know, That I'm safe and free from harm, Remember what my message is, We'll be together in each others arms. |
