I often sat beside you As you lay there in such pain. I saw the color fading In your face that showed the strain. My heart went out to you in love. I would gladly have taken your place. Then, I saw you start to rest and relax As God filled you with His grace. I saw your faith in action, As you communed with God above. In your heart and mind you remembered Everything you knew about His love. For many years you had served Him; Your life portrayed Him every day. You memorized and taught His Word. You showed others how to live that way. Now you are safely in the arms of Jesus. I am cherishing every memory. Thank you for the legacy you left. My life can be lived in victory. For a friend of that lost his wife.. Dean this is for you... |
