| REVIVAL COUNTRY STYLE
Old Jackson Jakes had what it takes When he made that alter call, In Jesus name, repenters came, Kneeling wall to wall. They wailed and cried cause they lied And many secrets were made known. But, some went outside and found a place to hide; When it was over, they were gone. Each night there was singing and the rafters were ringing With "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Faces were clean and no cigarette was seen And there was love in every heart! It all ended on Saturday with fellowship And food that was finger-lickin' ; Potato salad, homemade ice cream, Banana puddin' and fried chicken! We had revival in our country church Way down Texas way. I don't think we could stand it If we did that every day! I think the devil would be forced to close his doors If everyone heard that preacher pray. Like he did when we had revival country style Way down Texas way! |
