| Rockin' Memories
Out of no where came a thought or two Drifting into my mind so fast Of a time when I was young and carefree A time way back in the past. All by myself I sit here Laughing like a fool Remembering my young days When I was just so cool. Rockin' and rollin' was my thing I never got enough Pink lipstick and a ponytail I really was hot stuff! Cruisin' was the in thing Cause it was all we had to do Stagger-lee was on the radio Now that was sung by who? (Lloyd Price) A Chevy or a Ford took us Cruisin' through the night Fuzzy dice hung from mirrors Chrome hubcaps shining bright. Boys with duck tailed haircuts Sideburns down their face Girls with soft colored sweaters Trimmed with collars of lace. I remember every soc hop Just like it was yesterday I remember every dance step I just can't do them today. Thank God we have our memories So we can go back again To rock n roll in our dreams Just like we did back then. ROCKIN' MEMORIES |
