| Mama's Gone Home Now
Oh, the Blessed memories of childhood I treasure in my heart. Peaceful, happy days, when Mom didn't have to work and all was well .....It's funny how the years pass so swiftly First we are young and then we are old.The good times we remember in our heart forever and a day.Mom went home with Jesus Almost 3 years ago but her love is still encamped around me until we meet again.... Oh the ache in this old heart and oh the glee in yours I feel like all is lost to me But you're happy evermore The lady that has been my best friend and mentor until now Has moved to live with Jesus She lives in Heaven now The stiffened legs that could not walk Are running young and free The eyes that could no longer focus Are clear as they can be The oxygen tubes are all gone Not even one tank left She runs through the pretty flowers and never gets out of breath All her tears and fears are gone And all the worries she had She's as happy as a little child As she sits with Jesus and Dad My tear are falling as I write I'm happy for you Mom There's just the huge empty space In my heart since you've gone I'll be ok, God will help To Him I'll remain true Someday I'll take that special walk and I'll come Home to you |
