| TIME FOR TWINS
Born same day, me first, time begins. I teased you push me out for more time within, Together we grew, enjoying the time of growth. Years pulled us part in spirit we stayed we stayed close. Now you struggle with time no more, I scream silent screams of times like before. Please don't leave me in tears I cry, In silence your eyes say sorry it's my time to die. For months I cried and prayed for time again, Hope pushed us on for more time for family and friends. Hope that we'd have more time and years. Foolishly we had wasted time and tears. Now is the time I smile, when I want to cry, I silently pray God don't make me say good-bye. Now is the time I scream at God in anger, Where's our mircle of time, heedless of the danger. Long nights I have set by your side as time slows, Praying, looking for the slightest hint of hope. Nurse, doctors walk in with that look of no more time, I want to ask, but didn't want to know, so I just sigh. Time is joy, time is sorrow and time is pain, Wasted time we had, but we thought it endless, insane. Now where has it gone for us, insane wasted time and years. Time today, yesterday, gone forever is our fears. Again I lean in and look into your eyes with tears, My eyes scream please, please don't leave me here. Your deep blue, our father's eyes cry I'm so sorry you sigh, Together our eyes lock and we pray for time. Linda was born Nov. 12, 1954 and God took her home April 9, 2008. This is for her twin and my cousin (by marriage) Brenda Mendenhall.. |
